PREVIDAR BRINGS FASHION BACK TO THE CITY

Let's hop on to the seventh annual BACK TO THE CITY hip-hop festival in style, literally. For the first time in the history of this festival, it will open with a fashion show that will inimitably celebrate the hip-hop culture. This will be a fashion show unlike any other as the focus will not only be on the clothes, but predominantly on the hip-hop culture and all its various elements.
You are invited to come and cover the celebration of the biggest urban sub-culture in the world at the biggest hip-hop festival in Africa. We look forward to seeing you there.

ABOUT BACK TO THE CITY
This unique youth event has grown into the largest public display of both commercial and underground hip-hop in South Africa, presenting a day of live music, street art, break-dancing, art installation, skateboarding, film, street fashion, gaming, speakers and panel discussions.
The day began with an educational summit offering an exchange of knowledge from industry gurus working within the media, advertising and music business arenas. The aim of these workshops was to effectively empower artists with as much knowledge to enable them to efficiently administrate their career and brand growth. The aim was to utilize the culture as a tool to encourage critical thinking, social change and unity while empowering communities through media, arts, education and independent initiatives.
This year celebrates the seventh annual youth festival "BACK TO THE CITY" featuring a variety of artists and representing the pinnacle of artistic expression from South Africa. From the daytime events to the evening performances, this is one time that the inner city comes alive with true freedom of expression, providing a destination for hip-hop fans, artists and industry personnel to converge and celebrate the experience of hip-hop and youth culture.

Study smart with your smartphone

Being a student can be quiet challenging at times, I mean you have to juggle so many things at the same time. From school work to family, friends, companion, social life or even your part time hustle. But from all those things you have to prioritize,and as a student your school work comes first, and with that in mind, technology is making things so much better for us. I mean majority of us own smartphones, with so many features that we can easily access all information that we need for curriculum purposes. Even most educational institutions are technologically advanced, that their students can submit their assignments and assessments online. With your smartphone all that can be done, from doing your research and submitting tasks (internet), to studying (windows application and book apps) even group chatting with your study group buddies (whatsapps and BBM) about educational matters. even though is not everyone who can afford a smartphone, but  as friends or study mates we can help out those who don’t have them, share the knowledge accessible to you with them. I believe all of us have goals and getting good credentials is one of them, so create SMART GOALS. Let them be Specific,Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. With all resources at hand, your goals are achievable and as an individual you have to make them possible. Withyour best buddy (smartphone) in your hands things are more convenient for you and yet for others, in terms of sharing of the knowledge. So be smart and study smart!

FASHION THOUGHTS

Have you ever had that moment when you page through a magazine, newspaper or manual card and you see this this big headline written ‘LOOK FASHION FIERCE?’

I’m guessing we all have.

Headings such as those brought a stir within the fashion department because every fashion critic, fashion editor and fashionista has their own definition as to what fashion really is.

SO WHAT IS FAHION?

Is it your style, your personality or simply your CLOTHES?

Fashion is an overall term used to describe an artistic way of expressing yourself through what you are wearing, but is there a rule to this form of expression?

                                            

We often see how everyone mag, blog and newspapers has the deadlly 101s of fashion but its all different, so what does this mean? There is no consistency in the definition itself…

Now if one had to write this article in the 80s the headline would be something like” BOLD IS BEAUTIFUL” because everything was big, catchyand BOLD and in the 2000s it would be something like”LESS IS MORE” becauseeverythingb eas based on the female figure so, slick cuts, monochromatic colours ;the main principal  that pushed this idea was form follows function.

Now today’s headlines would are “THE POWER OF STYLE”

This focuses on one’s ability to take clothes  of every season and turn heads wherever they go. Its vintage, modern, style, personality and most important its comfortability…

So YES the perfect definition has been discovered…”FASHION IS THE ABILITY TO BE COMFORTABLE IN WHATEVER YOU WEAR” because than you are “FASHION FIERCE!”
