The 9th Edition of the Pan-African Music Festival (FESPAM), taking place in Brazzaville, Congo, commenced on 13 July 2013 and will end on 20 July 2013. AKA will be performing with a band as part of the South African delegates on July 16th and again on July 18th for Mandela's birthday.

South Africa's participation in the Congolese FESPAM Festival comes as a cultural exchange programme where South Africa will be the "Country of Honour" at this year's festival. The theme this year is "African music, vector of authentication and emergence factor".
